After a year hiatus, U14AA returned this last season under the supervision of legendary coach Joe Houk and assistance from top notch coaching of Butch Otto.

The team proved that they could compete with any team in MAWHA ranking in the top 3 of a very deep and competitive MAWHA league and earning championship banners at Adirondack and Presidents day as well as finalist in the MAWHA playoffs.

Captain M.Danchak along with forwards M.Davis-Luizer, K.Kratzer, A.Bodnar, R.Malone, S.Glazer, E.Puleo, K.Lee, K.Shaw, J.Shanks displayed grit and firepower on offense for the U14AA team making every opponent battle for every game.
The team's defense of M.Burk, assistant captain K.Otto, Z.Froimovitz, and V.Houk were a huge contributor to the team's success both offensively and defensively.

At the Adirondack Winter Classic the team defeated the BAHA Bobcats 3-2 in game one and the Patriots tied St Albans 1-1 thanks to a goal by M.Davis-Luzier. The girls sealed their path to the championship with a dominating team effort against the CT Ice Cats thanks to goals from K.Shaw and Davis-Luzier.

The team rematched St.Albans for the championship game where J.Shanks scored the first/game winning goal! M.Davis-Luzier scored a huge short handed goal and K.Shaw sealed the team for gold with an empty net goal. M.Kloss came up huge in net for both the playoff and championship game posting two shutouts! Davis-Luizer secured the 'Patriot Performance of the Week' for registering a goal in every game including a huge shorthanded goal in the championship. She won the fastest skater relay with her teammate A.Bodnar and was awarded the Northstar Award in game one for sportsmanship.

In our home President's day tournament, U14AA rematched the Carolina Jr Hurricanes for the championship after falling to the team 1-0 in round robin play. Z.Froimovitz scored the game winner in the first period and R.Malone secured the win with an empty net goal. An outstanding defensive effort by the d core along with M.Kloss posting the shutout, secured the 2-0 championship win for the Patriots!

In MAWHA playoffs - a battle against the NOVA Ice Dogs resulting in a 3-2 win in overtime (goals scored by R.Malone, K.Shaw and OT goal from M.Davis-Luizer) the Patriots took on the NJ Colonials for game 2. A chippy and physical game resulted in a 3-0 loss despite an outstanding effort by M.Kloss who put up 30 saves in the game.

The team regrouped to face Princeton Tiger Lilies. A hard drive by Davis-Luizer resulted in a rebound that Shaw put away to send the game into OT. V.Houk blasted a shot from the point to secure the OT victory!

Facing Ramapo, the team once again went into overtime thanks to two goals from K.Kratzer and a goal from K.Lee. M.Burk scored the game winner in the 4-3 game to send the team to battle for the finalist title.

In the finalist game, the team rematch the NJ Colonials. Krazter scored twice to get the Patriots on the board, and Burk once again scored the game winner for the Patriots to win 3-2!

Goaltender M.Kloss lifted the team with her performance in all five playoff games - posting 4 wins, 1 loss and an over 90 save percentage in every single game! Her effort in net making critical saves in big moments of every game resulted in the U14AA winning their final game against the NJ Colonials and earned her the final 'Patriot Performance of the Week' for the 2019-20 season.

Congratulations to the U14AA team for playing resilient hockey to earn their finalist banner and two championships!

We are excited to once again have Joe overseeing our U14AA team, with JoAnne Seifert stepping in to assist for the upcoming season.
