5th Annual Pony Tail |
|
Congratulations to the
Lady Patriots U14 tier II team on winning the 2008 Pony Tail Tournament.
The team headed down to Abingdon, MD for the weekend to compete in the U14
B division. They defeated their opponents – NJ Colonials, Quakers, Prince
William Panthers and Allegheny, outscoring them 16 to 3 in 5 games. The
Patriots posted a 2-0 victory over the Prince William Panthers in the
Championship Game. |

First World Woman's U18
Championship |
|
This year marks the 100th anniversary of
the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
In January 2008, the IIHF
will organize the first-ever World Women’s U18 Championship in Alberta,
Canada. Six of the participating eight nations already qualified for this
new IIHF World Women Championship in February 2007 at three IIHF Women’s
U18 Invitational Tournaments in the
Czech
Republic,
Finland and Germany. This is an important step in the development of
women’s ice hockey, and serves as an excellent event to emphasize the100
Year celebrations.
Alena Polensky and
Lucie Povova of the Lady Patriots U19-Red team will be members of
this years Czech Republic national team in Calgary, Canada at the World
Women's U18 Championships, January 7-12, 2008. |

Annual Polar Bears Tournament |
|
This year the Lady
Patriots fielded 2 teams in the prestigious Polar Bears tournament.
This year's tournament hosted more than 3000 players. The the Lady
Patriots U19 team lost their opening game to the Connecticut Polar Bears,
who went on to win the overall tournament at the U19 level. The Lady
Patriots U19's continued to fair well winning all of their remaining games
to end the tournament with an impressive 3-1 record.
The U16's lost a 2-1
heart breaker that was the difference in advancing to the finals.
The Lady Patriots U16 concluded their 2007 Polar Bears experience with a
2-1-1 record. |

Annual Polar Bears Tournament |

The Polar Bears
Tournament is the Largest Girls Hockey Tournament in the US. This
years tournament hosted more that 220 teams from the US and Canada.
The Lady Patriots advanced to the finals with an un-defeated record of 5-0
with 4 shut-outs. The final game was decided by a 1 goal
differential with the Lady Patriots loosing to the Harlem Valley Lightning
tournament team 3-2. Congratulations to the Lady Patriots, the only
team in the Atlantic District to make it to the finals. |

Annual Troy-Albany Ice Cats Tournament |
|
This year the Lady
Patriots U16 Tier II team ventured north to see what New York State had to
offer. Well, the Lady Patriots tied the reigning New York State U16
Tier II Champions in 3-3 exciting game. The Lady Patriots came away
with a 1-1-1 record and the Tournament finalist were the State finalists
from 2005. |

Reading Holiday Classic |

The Lady Patriots U19
Girls took a decisive win in the 2005 Reading Holiday Classic. The
Lady Patriot were un-defeated in the "Double Round-Robin" Tournament in
Reading. |

Ithaca Shooting Stars Tournament |
|
A young Lady Patriots U19
team faced some tough competition in Ithaca this year. Starting of
the Friday Night with a 1-4 loss to the Niagara Coyotes. The Lady
Patriots rallied a win in the second game vs. the Gypsy Chicks, but lost
to the Ithaca Stars in third game. Leaving Ithaca with only memories
of a 1-2 tournament. |

2005-06 Lady Patriots Practice Begins After Labor Day!!! |
|
This year the Lady
Patriot have the premier ice slots for practices. Tuesday evenings
from 6:40pm to 7:40pm the Lady Patriots will share the ice with one of the
Warwick Aces teams. On Thursday evening from 6:40pm-7:40pm the Lady
Patriots will have the full ice surface for practice. |

Congratulations to Lady
Patriots players Clair Mahoney and Stephanie Bardell on
being selected to the Atlantic District 14U Select camp to be held at the
Lawrenceville School in July. Good luck, girls. |

Lady
Patriots Advance to Atlantic District Playoffs |
|
By virtue of their
undefeated record against other Atlantic District 16 U Tier II teams, the
Lady Patriots have advanced to compete at the District Playoffs in
Hackensack, NJ on March 11-13, 2005. The Districts are the first
step on the road to Nationals. Good luck Lady Patriots! |

Lady
Patriots Play in First MAWHA Girls' Youth League Playoff Finals |
|
After securing a victory
against the Wissahickon Warriors in the first playoff round of the MAWHA
Girls Youth Hockey League playoffs the Lady Patriots advanced to the first
ever MAWHA Girls Youth Playoff Finals facing a tough Frederick Fury team.
Although the Lady Patriots suffered a tough 4-1 loss in the playoff finals
their accomplishments were acknowledged by the presentation of finalist
medals for the girls and a trophy for their trophy case.

Lady Patriots to Compete at Prestigious CT Polar Bears Tournament December
27-30, 2004 |
|
The
Lady Patriots will be fielding a team in the 17 and Under B Bracket (Division
2) at the prestigious Connecticut Polar Bears tournament being held at
various rinks in the New Haven area from December 27 through December 30,
2004. The CT Polar Bears Tournament is one of the most important
girl's ice hockey tournaments held in the United States each year.
The tournament presents participants with opportunities to play against
teams outside of their home districts and to be evaluated by scouts and
coaches from prep schools, hockey academies and colleges. The Lady
Patriots are looking forward to demonstrating how they have grown the
organization over the last year and to have their best showing ever at the
tournament. Click
