ABOUT THE
LADY PATRIOTS |
If you are a young
woman who is interested in playing ice hockey during the 2008-2009 season
the Lady Patriots want to meet you! The Lady Patriots are an
ice hockey organization for young women in Bucks and Montgomery counties,
as well as surrounding areas. We compete at all levels in the Girls' Youth League of the Mid-Atlantic
Women's Hockey Association (MAWHA). For the 2008-2009 season, we will also sponsor a team in the Inter County High School League (ICSHL).
- MAWHA Red: Tier I hockey for players who have the desire and ability play at the highest competitive level. This team will practice 2 times per week, play approximately
30 games, and participate in several tournaments throughout
the season.
- MAWHA White: Tier II hockey for players who have the desire and ability play at a competitive level. This team will practice
2 times per week, play approximately 30 games, and participate in
several tournaments throughout the season.
- MAWHA Blue: This is a development level for beginners or players who would like to improve their skills in a less competitive environment. This team will practice
1 time per week and play approximately 18 games, and participate in
2 tournaments.
- High School: Our 2008-2009 team will be comprised of girls from many high schools but will
eventually focus on a single high school per team in the future. This team will practice 1 time per week and have approximately 24 games.
Depending on league placement at the end of the season, MAWHA teams may have the opportunity to compete at the
District level in order to win a chance to represent the Atlantic District
at the USA Hockey National Tournament in the spring of 2009. |

Don't be!! The Lady Patriots are committed to expanding the
opportunities for all young women to play ice hockey. Since we have teams at all skill levels, even if you have never played
ice hockey before there is a place for you with the Lady Patriots! |

$150 Evaluation Fee due at tryouts.
A practice jersey will be provided.
$350 Registration Fee due upon selection

Most travel is
contained within Pennsylvania and New Jersey. MAWHA
teams travel may also include Maryland, Washington DC, New
York and Virginia. MAWHA Red level teams may compete in tournaments in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Canada.
PLEASE NOTE: Players selected to Lady Patriots teams are expected
to travel with their team to away games. |

It is strongly recommended that players attend ALL evaluation
sessions for their age level.
Additional ice time for Lady Patriots tryouts will be assigned as needed to finalize team selections. |
Please arrive at least
45 minutes early on the first night of evaluations to complete all
required paperwork.
Pre-Registration is available online.
All players are REQUIRED to wear full USA Hockey protective gear
for evaluations.
